New Development of Arc Spraying Technology-Droplet speed
The performance of arc spraying coating is affected by many factors, and its rapid solidification structure is closely related to the kinetics and heat transfer of droplet in the atomization process. The analysis of the kinetics and heat transfer behavior of the atomization process is not only an important basis for selecting the parameters of the spraying process, but also helps to correctly understand the formation and evolution mechanism of the high speed arc spraying coating. However, due to the limitations of the experimental technique, it is difficult to obtain the heat transfer parameters such as the droplet temperature and the cooling rate by the actual measurement method. Usually, the theoretical model is used for the numerical simulation calculation, and the determination of the atomization gas flow velocity and droplet speed is a prerequisite for the simulation calculation.
